New
River commissioned Dewey Nichols, while with Burt Hill, to design
their new 20,000 s.f. office expansion on the top floor of an early
1900s, textile mill, in Andover, Massachusetts. The design
goal for this interior gut renovation was to take advantage of the
natural day-lighting provided by a roof-top monitor as well as to
establish an image of success for this financial corporation. Exposed
wood deck ceilings and steel beams were featured in contrast to
sophisticated finishes and furnishings. Executive, management and
reception areas were highlighted with careful design attention and
detail.
